Ben Jen Holdings is looking for an ambitious and hardworking individual to add to our team. Candidates must have great attention to detail, proficient experience with Microsoft Excel, Google Spreadsheets, SAP, and be self-motivated. We are looking for individuals that can also serve as a FinOps to an affiliated broker-dealer (FINRA Series 27 and/or Series 99 required).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial statements consisting of Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Statement of Cash Flow in conformance with GAAP
  • Provide financial statements to internal and external entities
  • Maintain and update Debt Service Coverage and Cash Flow analysis
  • Prepare, enter, and maintain Accounting entries for standard and recurring monthly activity assuring accuracy and consistency
  • Provide support for external CPA firm in completion of Audited financial statements and tax returns
  • Maintain and update the Allowances and Interest Receivable
  • Reconcile interfund AP accounts and track recurring property management & maintenance expenses
  • Maintain Electronic Funds Transfer for Loan payments
  • Bank statement reconciliations
  • Update accounting records for the payment of vendors and other outstanding payables
  • Develop and maintain accounting actuals to budget reports with associated reporting
  • Develop and recommend improvements to accounting procedures
  • Prepare and present cost-benefit analysis

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 3-5 years general accounting work experience
  • Must be licensed with FINRA and have a Series 27 and/or Series 99
  • In depth knowledge of accounting, GAAP, and accounting software (preferred experience with Xero and SAP)
  • Bachelor degree in Accounting preferred
  • Accounting principles, terminology, and budgeting principles
  • Financial management principles and theories
  • Mathematical principles to accounting, bookkeeping, and budgeting as well as to identify, analyze, and solve problems
  • Government accounting rules and practices to include fund accounting
  • Interpret and apply partnership & external documents to agreement, rules, laws, and regulations
  • Conduct investigations and research revenues, expenditures as well as in comparison to budgets
  • Experience using MS Office products (Excel, Word, and Outlook) with moderate or higher knowledge of Excel preferred
  • Self-motivated, organized and ability to work as part of a team
  • Strong verbal communication skills and ability to communicate effectively as well as tactfully
  • Must be dependable, able to prioritize tasks, and be flexible with changes in job duties
  • Willingness to take on new tasks and duties as assigned
  • Effective process analyzer with an approach towards efficiency
